The Soo Locks are situated on the St. Mary’s River at Sault Ste. Marie, Michigan. It allows vessels to transit the 21-foot elevation change at the St. Mary’s Falls Canal.

The Soo Locks are a nationally critical infrastructure. This critical node’s reliability in the Great Lakes Navigation System is essential for U.S. manufacturing and National Security.

This Project’s detailing includes upstream and downstream gate leaves, each measuring 65 feet in length and 56 feet in height. It features linkages and hinge castings for gate operation, along with other functional structures such as dewatering bulkheads, stop log fillers, and trash screen structures.
