As part of our ongoing Learning & Development (L&D) initiatives, this year’s Steel Day celebrations were designed to blend technical excellence with a spirit of collaboration. The event served as a platform for Esskayites to share ideas, challenge boundaries, and explore new dimensions in steel design and detailing.
Three major competitions were organized to encourage participation across all levels of the organization:
The Paper Presentation competition provided an opportunity for individuals and groups to present their insights and innovations in the field of steel detailing, connection design, fabrication, and project management.
The top three papers were selected for presentation during the celebration day, showcasing thought leadership and the drive to continuously advance technical expertise within our teams.
In alignment with this year’s innovation theme, the Steel Structure Model Creation competition challenged participants to design a Cafeteria and Gym structure for our Trichy facility.
The submissions demonstrated a perfect blend of creativity and practicality, using advanced 3D modeling techniques to visualize real-world structures. Shortlisted models were showcased during the Steel Day celebration, offering everyone a glimpse into the next generation of design thinking at Esskay.
The Quiz Competition brought together teams of Detailers, Modelers, and Checkers in a friendly yet intellectually stimulating contest. Conducted by Mr. Prakash, Project Manager – Chennai, the quiz tested participants’ technical proficiency, problem-solving ability, and coordination—core traits that define the strength of our detailing teams.
