The GSR Arena is a 10,000+ seat, 300,000 sq ft facility designed for concerts, basketball and multi-event loads. Such arenas require long-span roof structures and raker beams to support steep seating bowls. A roof system of this span typically requires long-span trusses or space frames, deep connections and sequencing that keeps the erection stable during construction. Structural expansion joints must accommodate differential movement between the new arena and older structures.
