We are a team of engineers passionate about steel structures, fascinated by the infinite possibilities that steel offers for construction. With the right blend of experience and youth of 100+ Engineers, we offer detailing services for any structure built with steel. You name it, we detail it. Typically, our work involves BIM modelling and detailing for bridges, stadiums, industrial structures, oil & Gas, Power, commercial and miscellaneous structures.

Established in the year 2010, our approach to business is simple: Honesty, transparency, commitment, which is why our customers use us exclusively on long term basis. Having executed over 500 projects and some very complex, land mark and signature projects to AISC and Euro codes and several of them on a fast track basis, gives us immense confidence to handle challenging projects of any size.

Esskay Design & Structures is equipped with software such as Tekla Structures, CAD, blue beam for Structural Steel Detailing. We carry out our own Research and Development, seeking new methodologies to improve deliverables, work processes, automation and procedures to enhance the engineering and fabrication drawing output using cutting edge 3D model technology.

We have a team of experienced detailing personnel including experienced 3D structural model creators and checkers. The majority of the projects for design and detailing conform to AISC, AWS, OSHA, etc…


teklaWe utilize Tekla structures software extensively and have 168 licenses currently. Tekla structures is 3D Building Information Modeling (BIM) software used in building and construction industries to create and combine data-rich and highly constructible 3D structural models especially for large and complex steel structures, to navigate around them in real-time, and create fabrication drawings. Tekla Structure models can be simultaneously shared between team members in different geographic locations. Using Tekla Structure software ensures 100% error free drawings and very fast project turn-around. Tekla Structure models can be used to cover the entire building process from conceptual design to fabrication, erection and construction management.

About BIM

bimWith BIM (Building Information Modeling) technology, one or more accurate virtual models of a building are constructed digitally. They support design through its phases, allowing better analysis and control than manual processes. When completed, these computer-generated models contain precise geometry and data needed to support the construction, fabrication, and procurement activities through which the building is realized.


BIM benefits for scheduling, estimation and risk analysis, more collaborative processes and better facility management. BIM also brings the opportunity to try out solutions in advance before building the structure on site: with a constructable model, the structure can be prototyped virtually. Project can be understood and reviewed the design more easily, which helps guarantee its accuracy and completeness, and visualize and evaluate alternatives in terms of cost and other project parameters. BIM has gathered compliments for improved communication between project parties and generally better quality.

When the BIM model is produced, it also benefits the fabricator and erector, enabling them to walk through the 3 Dimensional model to resolve any problems. This ensures that the structure is fabricated and erected quickly, accurately, and efficiently.

Quality Assurance

We place great emphasis on delivery of high quality services. There are multi-level checks in place to isolate and eliminate errors. Our engineers are fully trained to ensure that every drawing we produce has the Esskay stamp of quality.

Quality Control

Qualified and trained checkers are assigned to exclusively to each project, check the model and the drawings as a two stage process. All the information that are required in the drawings are input into the model, which almost eliminates human errors in the drawings and the model is thoroughly checked. Critical areas undergo two independent checks by different checkers. Whenever, the model undergoes changes due to approvers comment or design change or internal QC comments, the model is back checked for accuracy.

Control of Non-Conformance with the Corrective and Preventive Action Plan

When an internal quality audit results in a Non-Conformance Report, corrective action is triggered though the Corrective and Preventive Action Plan. The effectiveness of the Plan is closely monitored. Each customer complaint is recorded, and a detailed analysis is carried out. Corrective action is then implemented with a view towards continual improvement.
